*GATHERING PRAYER

Loving God, we give you thanks for the beauty of creation, for your grace and compassion. We confess at times we fail to notice all you do for us. Sometimes we are overwhelmed with fear and anxiety; restore our faith and trust in you. Instill in us a spirit of gratitude. Open our eyes to the needs of the world and to the blessings you have given to us. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

*PASSING THE PEACE

It is amazing how God has blessed us. Aware of GodÕs blessings can relieve us of anxiety and create peace among us.

Noticing GodÕs blessings helps us uncover the peace God hopes for each of us and our world.

As we share our peace, let us also express our gratitude to one another. UCC, thank you for your faithfulness in this last year. Thank you for all the time, energy and treasure you have given to do the fund raising of the last two weeks. Thank you for the blessing you are to one another. May GodÕs peace be yours this day.

And may GodÕs peace be with you.

(All are invited to greet others with handshakes or hugs while saying to them ÒThank you! The peace of Christ be with youÓ and responding, Òand also with you.

*SONG OF PRAISE ÒThe Gloria PatriÓ
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son
and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.

CHORAL RESPONSE         ÓLet There Be PeaceÓ

By Sy Miller and Jill Jackson

Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.
Let there be peace on earth, the peace that was meant to be. With God our Creator, children all are we.
Let us walk with each other in perfect harmony.
Let peace begin with me; let this be the moment now.
With every step I take, let this be my solemn vow:
To take each moment and
live each moment in peace eternally!
Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.
