*HYMN            ÒCome, My PeopleÓ                  (pg. 5 bulletin)

We Confess Our Sin Seeking GodÕs Forgiveness

*PRAYER OF CONFESSION

O God, we know we need Jesus; yet some of us barely have the time to sit down to eat. We are overwhelmed with all that must be done and all we want to do failing to find time to be in your presence. Forgive us when we run in other directions than where you invite us to be. We are so in need of your compassion; too often we are as sheep without a shepherd. Gather us now in your arms that we might find healing and peace.

*SILENTLY WE CONFESS OUR PERSONAL SINS

*ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS

Jesus welcomes all who are weary and carrying heavy loads; he will give us rest. He forgives us and offers a life that will lead to wholeness and peace. Lean on him, learn from him, follow him.

PASSING THE PEACE

            Colossians 3:12-18

The peace of Christ be with you. And also with you.

(All are invited to greet others with handshakes or hugs while saying to them "The peace of Christ be with you" and responding "and also with you.")

*THE GLORIA PATRI

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son

and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.

CHORAL RESPONSE   ÓLet There Be PeaceÓ

By Sy Miller and Jill Jackson

Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.

Let there be peace on earth, the peace that was meant to be.  With God our Creator, children all are we.

Let us walk with each other in perfect harmony.

Let peace begin with me; let this be the moment now.

With every step I take, let this be my solemn vow:

To take each moment and

live each moment in peace eternally!

Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.
