Confessing Our Sin, Receiving GodÕs Forgiveness

*PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Faithful God, you come to us in Jesus who teaches us with your authority. In his name our words and actions can also be powerful; but we forget the power we have through faith in you.  Even as we name ourselves his followers, we embarrass you by what we say and do. Forgive us for forgetting who we are and whose we are. Help us to honor you more often in our day to day lives. In the name of Jesus, we ask for your Holy SpiritÕs guidance.

*PERSONAL PRAYERS OF CONFESSION

*ASSURANCE OF PARDON

*PASSING THE PEACE

With authority, Jesus brings healing.

We want to be made whole in body, mind and spirit.

We want broken relationships reconciled.

Because we want healing, we remind one another of GodÕs peace as we offer our peace to one another.

The peace of Christ be with you.

And also with you.

(All are invited to greet others with handshakes or hugs while saying to them ÒThe peace of Christ be with youÓ and responding, Òand also with you.Ó)

*SONG OF PRAISE              "Gloria PatriÓ

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son

      and to the Holy Ghost;

as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.

     PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE

THE LORDÕS PRAYER

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.   Amen.

PRAYER RESPONSE       ÒAway in a MangerÓ

Be near me Lord Jesus, I ask you to stay

close by me forever and love me I pray.

Bless all the dear children in your tender care,

and fit us for heaven to live with you there.

*THE BENEDICTION

*RESPONSE   "Let There Be PeaceÓ

Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.

Let there be peace on earth, the peace that was meant to be.  With God our Creator, children all are we.

Let us walk with each other in perfect harmony.

Let peace begin with me; let this be the moment now.

With every step I take, let this be my solemn vow:

To take each moment and

live each moment in peace eternally!

Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.
