*HYMN  ÒWhen Morning Gilds the Skies      #322 vs. 1, 3 & 5

*THE PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Gracious God, you have called us to labor in your

name, but too often we have no time, no energy and we claim we have no skills. We do not see the good we could do.  We choose not to take our faith with us as we do our daily tasks. Pardon us when we have failed to treat other workers with respect and care.  Forgive our lack of concern for those who cannot find work, for those who are anxious about their jobs or benefits.  Help us to answer your call to discipleship wherever we are.  In the name of Jesus, the Christ.  Amen.

PASSING THE PEACE

Each day God sets before us new opportunities.  Each day we can reach out and bring peace to people we love and to strangers in our midst.

May our words and actions bring GodÕs peace into the world.

The peace of God be with you.

      And also with you.

(All are invited to greet others with handshakes or hugs while saying to them ÒThe peace of Christ be with youÓ and responding, Òand also with you.Ó)

SONG OF PRAISE  ÒJoyful, Joyful, We Adore YouÓ

God is giving and forgiving, ever blessing, ever blessed,

Wellspring of the joy of living,

ocean depth of happy rest!

Loving Spirit, Father, Mother,

all who love belong to you;

Teach us how to love each other,

by that love our joy renew.

THE LORD'S PRAYER

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.  Amen.

*THE BENEDICTION

*RESPONSE  ÒLet There Be Peace on EarthÓ

Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.

Let there be peace on earth, the peace that was meant

to be. With God our Creator, children all are we.

Let us walk with each other in perfect harmony.

Let peace begin with me; let this be the moment now.

With every step I take, let this be my solemn vow:

To take each moment, and live each moment in peace eternally!

Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.
