*HYMN          "Love Divine, All LoveÕs ExcellingÓ                  #21

*PRAYER OF THE DAY2

Holy One, you do not stand there with a ruler in your fist,

ready to smack our hands whenever we do wrong,

but are that gentle Parent who wants only the best

for your children always.

You do not look at us through the lenses of judgement,

Servant of all, but see us as your sisters and brothers

who have wandered away,

and, so you reach out and take our hands so

we might walk together.

You do not hold anything back, Spirit of Goodness,

But you fill our empty lives with the waters of grace and peace,

So, we might overflow with love, wonder, joy, and hope,

True blessings to the world.

God in Community, Holy in One,

May we choose always and in all

To be your people, even as pray,

The LordÕs Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.  Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.  Amen.

*PASSING THE PEACE

Jesus invites us into relationship with him and with one another.

It is not always easy to get along with all GodÕs other children.

True enough; yet attempting to heal broken relationships and letting go our bitterness is the only way to truly find peace within ourselves and for the world. Let us work toward GodÕs peace.

(All are invited to greet others with handshakes or hugs while saying to them "The peace of Christ be with you" and responding "and also with you.")

SONG OF PRAISE  "Gloria PatriÓ

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.  Amen.  Amen.

*RESPONSE   "Let There Be PeaceÓ

Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.

Let there be peace on earth, the peace that was meant

to be.  With God our Creator, children all are we.

Let us walk with each other in perfect harmony.

Let peace begin with me; let this be the moment now.

With every step I take, let this be my solemn vow:

To take each moment, and live each moment in peace eternally!

Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.
