Who We Are
Our Denomination
The United Church of Christ includes about 1.2 million people throughout the United States. Our roots go back to the Pilgrims of England and the Reformation of Germany and Switzerland. We are part of what is sometimes called mainline Protestantism.
Our Congregation
Neillsville UCC began in 1958 through the merger of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Congregational Church. In 1962 we built our present structure at 2nd and Park. We include people from all parts of the community.
Our Pastor
James D. Mohr and his wife Karen came to Neillsville in April 2000. Pastor Jim is a graduate of Lakeland College, Kent State University and Eden Theological Seminary. He enjoys leading worship, teaching classes for adults, and having fun with kids. Karen also graduated from Lakeland College and taught elmentary school for several years. The Mohrs have four grown children.
